MLCommons Welcomes New Member: NASSCOM Joins the Alliance

MLCommons, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to AI benchmarking, recently announced that the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) has officially become a member of its alliance. This milestone brings MLCommons' membership count to 50, further expanding its global reach.

NASSCOM's Background and Strengths

NASSCOM is the premier association for India's Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) industry, representing over 3,000 member companies. These companies collectively generate over $200 billion in revenue and employ more than 5 million people. NASSCOM plays a pivotal role in advancing India's digital transformation and AI innovation, and has become a key source of global AI talent and solutions.

Significance and Expected Impact of the Collaboration

• Enhancing India's AI Ecosystem: NASSCOM's membership will bring a unique Indian perspective to MLCommons, helping develop more inclusive AI benchmarking standards.
• Promoting Benchmarks like MLPerf: One of MLCommons' core activities is the MLPerf training and inference benchmark suite. This collaboration will accelerate the adoption of these benchmarks in India, fostering hardware and software optimization.
