微软放弃Java虚拟机

2001年1月，微软曾被指控在其多数产品中不合法使用了Sun公司的Java虚拟机。后来微软与Sun达成和解，逐步停止并淘汰不合法适用Java虚拟机的产品。

现在微软已经发出通告：自美国太平洋标准时间2003年12月23日0点01分（北京时间23日下午4点01分）起,微软将不再通过MSDN客户下载提供任何被列入淘汰表中的产品以及其相关下载。其中，被列为“黑名单”不再提供更新的产品有：

Embedded Visual Tools 3.0

Internet Explorer 5.5

MapPoint® 2002

Office XP Developer

Office 2000 Tools

Office 2000 Multilingual

Office 2000 Premium SR-1

Office 2000 SP2

Outlook® 2000

Project 2000

SQLT Server 7

SQLT Server 7 SP3

Visual Basic® (for Alpha systems)

Visual Studio® 6.0 MSDE

Visual Studio® 6.0 SP3

Visual Studio® 6.0 SP5

Windows® 98

Windows® 98 Y2K

Windows® 98 Resource Kit

Windows® 98 SP1 (all Windows 98 except Windows 98 SE)

Visio® 2000

Windows NT® 4.0 Option Pack

Windows NT® 4.0 Terminal Server Edition
